| Subtitle: | Chris Graham - NIT - Food Prices, Crime Commission Survey | |
| Summary: | Continue on with comparing grocery prices between indigenous and non-indigenous regions. Community-owned stores are of better value according to Chris Graham. NIT took a look at the NT region, examining the price of a basket of groceries in Darwin and that within smaller indigenous communities. Close look at the Barcley Region where some stores had no aboriginal training or employees, others had very limited fruit options. Crime and misconduct commission – indigenous qld’s are 4 times more likely to have negative experiences with the police in the past 12 months. QLD police have a bad name according to Chris Graham. It was the police commission that conducted the report. 90% of QLDers trust their police force according to the survey, however most view QLD’s force as the most corrupt. Study is flawed. | Published: | Thu, 4 Jun 2009 1:40 PM |
